Competition terms and conditions
1. DURATION OF THE COMPETITION
- 1.1. The competition will run from January 15, 2026 to December 31, 2026.
- 1.2. The contest offers one prize: a one-week, all-inclusive trip for two to the Moon Palace Cancun in Mexico, in collaboration with the Claudelle travel agency. The draw will take place on February 2, 2027, at the offices of IG Wealth Management, 1000 Du Lux Street, Brossard, QC, J4Y 0E3.
2. ELIGIBILITY
- 2.1. Residents of Quebec are invited to participate in the contest. Participants must be of legal age at the time of registration. Employees, advisors and agents of IG Wealth Management Inc., a financial planning firm, as well as advertising and promotional agencies, suppliers of materials or services related to this contest, and family members (mother, father, spouse or child) of these employees, advisors or agents and persons living in their household, are not eligible to participate in the contest.
3. HOW TO PARTICIPATE
- 3.1. No purchase or investment is required. All entries must be submitted to the contest sponsor by 5:00 p.m. on December 31, 2026, for the draw to take place on February 2, 2027, at 10:00 a.m. ET. The contest sponsor, as defined in section 7.1 below, cannot be held responsible for the loss, delay, disappearance, or illegibility or incompleteness of any entry.
- 3.2. Recommendation cards must be completed legibly and in full to be eligible.
4. PRICE
- 4.1. Grand Prize: a one-week all-inclusive trip for two people to the Moon Palace Cancun in Mexico, in collaboration with the Claudelle travel agency. The prize is subject to the conditions below.
- 4.2 In the event that, for reasons beyond the control of the Advisor and unrelated to the winner(s), the contest sponsor is unable to award a prize as described in the rules, it must substitute a prize of a similar nature and of equal or greater value at its sole discretion.
5. AWARD PRESENTATION
- 5.1. The price is not transferable.
- 5.2. To be declared a winner, the participant whose entry is drawn must meet the contest eligibility requirements as set out in these rules (“the participant whose entry is drawn”). If the participant whose entry is drawn does not meet the rules, the prize may be denied to them and another participant may be selected to receive the prize.
- 5.3. The odds of winning are specific to each draw and depend on the number of eligible entries received by IG Wealth Management advisors before the sorting.
- 5.4. The contest sponsor will attempt to contact the selected entrant within ten (10) business days of the draw. The selected entrant must make arrangements to claim their prize within thirty (30) days of the draw by contacting us at 450-641-1514, signing a declaration of conformity as described in section 6.1 below, and correctly answering the mathematical skill-testing question to be declared the winner and claim the prize. Failure to comply with these skill-testing rules may result in the prize being forfeited and another entrant being selected. Mathematical skill-testing question: Multiply 10 by 7, subtract 30, divide by 2, add 22, the result is ____. Once the selected entrant has contacted us, signed the declaration of conformity, and answered the mathematical skill-testing question, arrangements will be made to deliver the prize.
6. DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY
- 6.1. Before being declared the winner, the participant whose entry is drawn will be required to sign a declaration of conformity under which he releases the competition sponsor and its affiliates, its advertising or promotional agencies, the prize suppliers, members of these groups as well as their employees, agents, advisors, representatives, successors and assigns from any liability or damage of any kind whatsoever which may arise as a result of the acceptance or use of the prize.
- 6.2. The winner's name, statements, place of residence, and photographs or other likenesses of the winner may be used for advertising and promotional purposes without further remuneration or compensation, and by accepting the prize, the winner consents to the foregoing and to sign, at the request of the competition sponsor, a release in a form that the latter deems satisfactory.
7. MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS
- 7.1. The contest is sponsored by Team Gilbert, IG Wealth Management Montreal South Shore office. All decisions made by the contest sponsor are final.
- 7.2. The sponsor of this competition declines all responsibility for any damages incurred or losses suffered directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, as a result of participation in the competition or the acceptance or use of the prize.
- 7.3. The contest is subject to applicable federal and provincial laws and municipal regulations. The contest is void where prohibited by law.
- 7.4. IG Wealth Management Inc., a financial planning firm, is committed to not disclosing your personal information or the personal information of any person you refer to us. The information collected in connection with this contest may be shared and used by IG Wealth Management Inc., a financial planning firm, and its affiliates, to inform you of investment opportunities or to provide you with additional financial information from time to time, and for other related purposes. By participating in the contest, you consent to this information being used for the aforementioned purposes.
- 7.5. The registrations will be kept on file for 3 years, then destroyed.
- 7.6. For Quebec residents only: Any dispute concerning the organization or conduct of a promotional contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux (the “Régie”) for resolution. A dispute arising from the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only to assist the parties in reaching an agreement.
